"My heroines" are women for whom sport has been a priority, united by a competitive spirit regardless of ability or disability. Created by French photographer Eric Vazzoler, this project is shaped by his experiences and travels in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
« Mes héroïnes » have in common that they are women of their time for whom sport, at some point, has mattered more than anything else, with or without the expected success. The spirit of competition unites them, whether they are able-bodied, have a physical anomaly, or a mental disability (Special Olympics).
This project is created by Eric Vazzoler, a French photographer whose work is profoundly shaped by his personal experiences and extensive travels, particularly in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
